The Sopexa ‘touch’:
- Leveraging the International Wine Challenge tastings, which bring together the crème de la crème of British wine for two weeks in April.
- Capitalising on the fact that Anne Burchett, Director of Sopexa UK& Ireland, was ‘Panel Chair’ at the IWC to personally recruit a maximum number of participants in the event..
Actions: As part of its IWC sponsorship, Sopexa negotiated on behalf of Sogevinus for an impromptu tasting of Colheitas during the IWC tastings. Porto-Tonics and a selection of Portuguese tapas were also offered to soothe the palates tired from tasting one hundred wines during the day.
Results: 70 wine professionals, including 10 VIPs, participated in the event, far exceeding the target of 30.
